It is very heavy and of very good quality

It is heavily beaded and all the beads are glass so it has a good rich feeling weight to it

The first thing to address in this is that I believe the black Pucci label in the top is a later add on

1940s Rayon Hostess Wrap Dress designer-john-galliano Item# DD1742This is a great little classic 1930s wrapped Hostess gown and it is incredible to think that this little beauty would have originally been intended to be worn only in the house as perhaps a light house coat or hostess dress for the day as it makes for a beautiful full length day dress for a modern girl. The shoulders are detailed with soft pleats gathered into panels across the shoulders and the wrapped design allows for a peek of skin at the neck.
